In honor of my good friend Caitlin, who moved to Beijing a few weeks ago, I wanted to feature a new line that is coming to St. Louis and has Asian roots. Kai-aakman is bringing androgyny and ample fabulousness to Byrd in Clayton. The line, which is made up of both menswear-inspired and women-perfect pieces, encourages wearers to mix and match feminine and masculine separates to attain the perfect look.
Kai-aakmann is a South Korea-based company, known for looks with simple colors and loose tailoring. Inspired by Carl Jung, the fall line includes structured jackets and baggy pants, as well as t-shirts and masculine dress pants. Prior to discovering the brand via Byrd owner Julie Stotlar, I had never heard of it before–and now I’m obsessed. I will definitely be heading to the Clayton shop to check out the Kai-aakmann FW09 collection.
